Fruitless Olive Tree

Thinned slightly to reduce impact of wind. Kept height because client wants it to grow taller to act as a window screen.

Loropetalum (before)

Three thick, overgrown trees.

Loropetalum (after)

Thinned out the trees so sun could pass through, and reduced size overall. Removed lower branches so the ornamental rock could be appreciated.

Japanese Maple (Bloodgood)

It’s hard to see the before & after differences. De-leafed for winter silhouette; Removed dead, deformed, dysfunctional branches (including a rubbing branch that was injuring the tree, a branch that crossed over the main leader/trunk); Made structural and strategic cuts to maintain the central leader form and showcase the gentle essence of the tree.

Entryway (before)

The bushes were overgrown and getting into the path, but the client wanted to maintain a screen for the narrow windows alongside the door.

Entryway (after)

Thinned out the bushes and reduced the length inwards so the family could come in and out without sweeping against them.
